In recent years Americans have faced many challenges due to an economic struggle. Many have lost their jobs and much more because of it. Starbucks has taken notice to this very real situation affecting all different communities and people. They have decided to reach out and support these individuals who need it most.
Starbucks has teamed up with the Opportunity Finance Network® (OFN) in order to create and maintain new jobs. The program will be called Create Jobs for the USA. Starbucks is donating $5 million to this foundation.
As of November 1, 2011 Starbucks are making available the "indivisible" bracelets in all US stores. Any person who donates $5 or more will receive a wristband. All of the proceeds will go directly to the fund in order to provide grants to "development financial institutions for underserved community businesses committed to creating and sustaining jobs."
